Eligibility
- Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States, or its equivalent from a foreign institution.
- Resumes and personal statements will be carefully considered by the Admissions Committee.

Priority Deadlines
The priority deadline to apply for Fall is June 1 and for Spring is Oct. 1. Submitting your application on or before these dates guarantees you a decision within two weeks. After these dates, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and decisions may take longer to process.
Application Checklist
Transcripts from all Universities and Colleges Attended
- Applicants must submit transcripts from each undergraduate and graduate school attended.
- Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded for admission review purposes.
- Please note an official transcript is required to be submitted either through the GradCAS system or directly to Graduate and International Programs (see address below) before the first day of class.
- International applicants must submit an official English translation or certified evaluation of an official transcript from each undergraduate and graduate school attended.

Resume or curriculum vitae
- Please submit a current resume or curriculum vitae.
Personal statement
Statements should address the following:
- Relevant professional experience
- Reason for application to the MSL program
- Any additional significant information
Writing Sample
- Please submit a professional or academic writing sample (written solely by the applicant) that showcases writing ability.
Letters of recommendation
- Please submit at least one original, signed letter of recommendation.
- Only one letter is required, but two is preferred.
- Letters of recommendation should be from academic or professional sources.
- Contact information for recommenders can be entered in the Slate system, or letters may be emailed directly to Graduate Law Admissions (see address below).
Documents should be uploaded via the online system. If you are experiencing any troubles with the Slate system and would like to mail documents, please contact the Graduate Law Admissions Office.
Interview Process
A personal interview may be requested as part of the admissions process. Our goal is to admit professionals who already have experience in their fields that will serve as a foundation for legal studies and who bring diversity in all its forms to the law school community.
Note to all applicants: Working with an agent will not affect your chances of acceptance and scholarship. All applicants should disclose in their application materials if they are working with an agent. We encourage all applicants to communicate directly with us at graduatelaw@dos5.net.
